MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ~ 2012 ~

This weekend we celebrate the sacrifices of our service men and women AND the families they leave behind.  I can hardly write this for the tears in my eyes when I think of the broken hearts that have followed our military through the years.  The bravery and sacrifice of them and their families that have given this country freedoms that most of the world only dream about and yet we are in danger of throwing away in face of "political correctness" and all the other malarkey our "leaders" spout at us. Our soldiers have bled and died and their families have cried a million tears to preserve our country and its Constitution. I hope we will remember that before we throw it all away.

May God have mercy on each of our fallen soldiers and give His loving comfort to their families and friends.

Amen, Mary - Thank you for your post honoring our fallen. My Sweetie told me today, in the news and NBC reporter said he would need to find another word to call the fallen, as Heros was not the word he would use.

Mary you are so right - if we don't start standing up and fighting for what we know is right, we will have nothing left! And, the shame of it, our children are be taught our forefathers were horrible men instead of the wonderful, honorable, and never again replaceable. What we have people die to come for, our freedom - and many here are so disrespectful of their own heritage.

God bless all the families of fallen soldiers. Thank you for your service to our country - as many do not understand, not just the service men and women do their part, the families who support them hold them up and help them by praying, taking on the job of both parents in absences, and keeping them encouraged when they hear what the cowards in their own country say. God bless them one and all!

Blessings,
Donna
